KNOXVILLE, Tennessee,
2006 December 20—Cyclomedical Applications Group is pleased to announce that it has added to its team of Associates Mr. Peter Holton, who has accumulated extensive experience in the operation of cyclotrons for the production of medical radioisotopes. This addition will further enhance the ability of Cyclomedical to offer a full range of support services to operators of PET (Positron Emission Tomography) cyclotron facilities.

As a former Director of Cyclotron Operations in DuPont Pharmaceuticals and Bristol Myers Squibb, Peter Holton has over twenty five years experience in radiopharmaceutical production, facility operations, organizational development, and capital project execution. He was responsible for the installation, startup, operation, maintenance, and improvement of seven cyclotrons and associated facilities and laboratories. He conducted research and development for target design, radiochemical processing, specialized equipment invention, controls engineering, scheduling, production and maintenance data controls, and output, yield, and reliability advances. He also brings expertise in industrial safety, environmental protection, and radiation safety; facilities total life cost management; and factory physics including lean and six sigma methodologies for driving performance. Peter Holton Consulting, LLC provides services to the radiopharmaceutical community for both design and startup of new facilities, and improving the performance and reliability of existing equipment, processes, and organizations.

Cyclomedical Applications Group is an organization of experienced radiopharmaceutical experts serving the nuclear medicine industry, especially owners and operators of medical accelerators dedicated to the production of positron emitting radioisotopes. It works primarily with facilities producing and distributing F-18 FDG–the most widely used positron-emitting radiopharmaceutical in PET scanning. Consulting services offered by the company range from short-term consultation to longer-term retainer arrangements and assistance with regulatory agencies as well as cyclotron operation and FDG production problems. Contract management services range from full responsibility for a cyclotron/FDG production facility to a monitoring posture in support of an in-place management team. Cyclomedical’s goal is to provide clients with a full range of support expertise including FDG market research and development, facility financing, facility planning and operation, licensing and safety, and FDA regulatory issues.
