KNOXVILLE, Tennessee,
2003 February 12—CycloMedical Applications Group announces an Associates Program to expand the range of services and capabilities that it can offer to its clients who own and operate cyclotron facilities.
Cyclomedical Applications Group is an organization of experienced radiopharmaceutical executives that serves owners and operators of medical cyclotrons, especially facilities dedicated to the production of positron emitting radioisotopes such as F-18. It also works with automated synthesis facilities producing and distributing F-18 FDG -- the most widely used positron-emitting radiopharmaceutical in PET scanning.
The consulting services offered by the Company range from short-term consultation to longer-term retainer arrangements and covers assistance with regulatory agencies as well as cyclotron operation and FDG production problems.
Contract Management services range from full responsibility for a cyclotron/FDG production facility to a monitoring posture in support of an in-place management team.
Dr. James Lamb, President of the company said, “We’re excited about bringing more experienced and talented people to join us to provide the PET Radiopharmaceutical community with the technological resources it needs to support the rapid growth of the PET scanning modality”. The benefit for the cyclotron owner/operator is the convenience and economy of a full range of services through one contractor on an “as needed” basis.
Associates are invited to join Cyclomedical Applications Group based on their experience in cyclotron or PET radiopharmaceutical production. Typically these Associates have their own part or full-time consulting business or are employed by a medical or educational institution. The Associates who will be joining the Group will be announced in the near future.
The Company’s goal is to be able to provide a full range of technical support including FDG market research and development, facility financing, facility planning and operation, licensing and safety, FDA regulations as well as PET scanning market development.
The Company currently has operational responsibility for several cyclotron/FDG facilities and is providing cyclotron consultation services to a number of cyclotron operating companies.
