Homer Hupf

Homer B. Hupf, Ph.D. Chemistry, Registered Pharmacist, Diplomate of American Board of Science in Nuclear Medicine, has over forty years experience in development of cyclotron targetry, radionuclide production, chemical purification and radiopharmaceutical preparation. In both hospital and commercial settings, he has developed production and processing protocols for numerous radionuclides used for clinical studies for both PET and planar imaging. The radionuclides include 11C, 15O, 18F, 64Cu, 67Cu, 67Ga, 111In, 123I, 124I and 201Tl. He is well versed in both radiological and USFDA regulatory issues and has been involved in the execution of GMP, DMF, IND and NDA applications. Along with colleagues, he has assisted in facility design for hospital and industry based accelerator radionuclide and radiopharmaceutical production facilities. As an Associate Professor at University of Miami, he has taught nuclear chemistry to graduate students and medical residents.
